                      Michelle Adams Byrne
                      Founder and Director

Michelle is newly married and has two step children she adores.  She is also our Founder and Executive Director.  After nearly two decades of active drug use Michelle found help from an unwanted source, The Texas Department of Corrections.  She eventually surrendered and began the journey to change.

During the last 8 years Michelle has helped numerous people in many areas.  From starting an NA group in Freeport, TX, helping Hurrican Katrina victims find housing and jobs, helping women in recovery, founding Recovery Inn, serving on the board of directors at City House, founding Texas Association of Recovery Residences, to serving on the board of directors at the National Association of Recovery Residences.

Michelles' education and experience are varied from Court Reporting to accounting and last year she completed the Nonprofit Leadership Program at SMU.  Over the last four years at Recovery Inn she has gained much more knowledge and experience through the every day practical application of directing Recovery Inn.

She believes that "If I can do it, so can they!"  "My mom always said, 'Michelle if you could just sit still things would get better'  and that was difficult for me because I was always running from myself.  Now I'm able to transmit that to other women and help them understand that life is not always great but it will change and then change back again.  Life was not happening 'to me' it was just happening."

"Everything I do for the ladies at Recovery Inn is because I care."

                      Johnetta Felts

Johnetta Felts is a wife and mother of three beautiful daughters.   She worked as an Administrative Assistant for several local companies, and spent 5 years working as the Office Manager for her church.  She has 20 plus years’ experience working in the clerical and accounting field.

Johnetta suffered through a 10 year Meth addiction, and found herself in prison.  She lost everything she had ever loved.  After prison she finally made a decision to do something different, and upon release she found another recovery residence to reside at.  That situation was not exactly what she was looking for.  She then moved in to Recovery Inn.

“I was a client of Recovery Inn for 11 months, and then was given the incredible opportunity to work for the organization.       I truly believe that God has called me to work with women.  I am so thankful for the opportunity every day, to give back.”

“God has given back to me everything I lost during my addiction.  I am so blessed and grateful for His love and mercy.”

                      Robin Sherman

After reaping the many rewards as a client of Recovery Inn, at our West Plano location, Robin Sherman joined our staff in November as our Client Liaison.

She was married for 23 years and has three beautiful daughters and two grandchildren.   In her  late 30’s she found herself living hard and fast in the designer drug world.  Robin’s  marriage was lost and  the relationships with her children and close family members was incredibly damaged.  She desperately wanted to break free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol .

Robin learned how to live a new way of life at Recovery Inn and found the freedom she had been searching for all along.  She and her former husband  are working hard to mend the bleak past and she is also rebuilding relationships with her daughters .  Robin has a deep connection with her Higher Power and stays focused on a 12 step program of recovery.    God has given her a deep desire to help other women break free while learning to live and enjoy life in ways they can’t  fathom.
