Michelle Adams battled addiction to alcohol, methamphetamines and other drugs for nearly two decades until it landed her in jail in 2004. Upon her release, Adams found herself starting from scratch. She began to research opening a sober-living facility and support group.
In 2008, Adams opened her first sober-living facility, Recovery Inn, in East Plano . Since then, she has opened two other locations, another in Plano and one in East Dallas. The facilities are open to any woman age 18 or older who is at least 14 days clean and sober.
